The Coface Country Risk Conference is a catalyst of ideas and debates within the national business community.
In 2018 the event ce
lebrates its XIV edition.

Throughout the years gathered, the statute of one of the most prestigious business events in Romania experienced an accelerated growth from one year to another in terms of specialists attending the event and the representativeness of the business environment. 
 

In 2018, the event will bring together about 400 participants, country risk experts, academic and banking specialists and Romanian and foreign investors.

Structured in a half day event, Country Risk Conference aims to cover all the current major aspects of the macroeconomic challenges and the ones of the business environment in Europe, focusing on CEE and Romania. Its topics offer the audience a broad perspective of the key risks that impact their businesses and provide useful findings in establishing business strategies for the next year.

In 2018 the topics are: the economic future within the era of political turbulences and Romania’s situation within this context, local and European economic trends, alongside the success stories of the entrepreneurs „made in Romania”.

Acad. Mugur ISARESCU
Governor, The National Bank of Romania
 
The Academician Mugur Isarescu holds the positions of Chairman of the Board of Directors and Governor of the National Bank of Romania since 1990, for which World Records Academy named him as the longest serving governor of a central bank. He also served as Prime Minister of Romania during December 1999 - December 2000. He is the one who was able to create and maintain a mysterious aura around the policies of the National Bank and many pointed out that the agenda of the Bank remained independent from any Romanian Government.
Regarding the scientific research, Mr. Isarescu is author, co-author and coordinator of 30 books; he published 15 scientific papers, developed and coordinated numerous studies and researches. He graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Trade within The Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, he has a PhD in Economics and he holds the „Doctor Honoris Causa” title within many universities in the country. Furthermore, Mr. Isarescu is the President of the Economics, Law and Sociology Department within the Romanian Academy and, since 2006 he is a member of the Romanian Academy.

 
Declan DALY
Regional CEO, Coface Central & Eastern Europe
 
Declan Daly holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Dublin City University and an MBA from INSEAD and has a wealth of experience in financial services and manufacturing spanning the last 25 years. He started his career in Software Engineering with ABB in Ireland and Austria, before joining the General Electric Company in 2000. From 2002 he served as COO with GE Money Bank Switzerland and as CEO of GE Money Bank Austria from 2006. Declan then joined the leadership team of Western Union Financial Services where he spent 5 years as Vice President Europe, heading up the B2B business segment. Most recently, Declan was CIO and a member of the Executive Board of Semperit Holding AG. Since November 2017, is appointed Coface Regional CEO for Central & Eastern Europe.

  
Aysen Seltem IYIGUN
Chief Economist, Coface Turkey & Middle East

Starting with August 2013, Aysen Seltem IYIGUN is Chief Economist, Coface Turkey & Middle East. Before that, Mrs. Aysen Seltem IYIGUN worked as Financial Correspondent within Thomson Reuters, in Istanbul, Turkey. For six years (December 2005 - July 2011), she held the Treasury Economist position within Akbank Treasury Department, in Istanbul, Turkey. 
Mrs. Aysen Seltem IYIGUN graduated Sorbonne University, in Paris, France and the Master of Economics at the same University. She received from Sorbonne University the DEUG (Le Diplôme d'études universitaires générales) after two-year course of Economic and Social Management, rank: 1 and the degree International Trade, rank: 2.

 
Eugen ANICESCU
Country Manager, Coface Romania
 
Eugen Anicescu started his career in 2001 within Generali Insurance, as Head of Insurance. 
Starting from 2007, he is working within Coface Romania, and he owned, over time, more strategic positions, such as Credit Insurance Manager during April 2007 - January 2011 and Deputy Managing Director, during January 2011 - September 2012.
In October 2012, he was appointed Managing Director and he held this position until March 2016. 
Eugen Anicescu graduated The Bucharest University of Economic Studies and he holds a Business Administration Master Degree within the same university.

 
Tomáš SEDLÁCEK
Chief Economist, CSOB (Czech Commercial Bank) | Lecturer, Charles University | Author of Bestseller “Economics of Good and Evil” (2011)
 
Tomas Sedlacek gained international fame for his award-winning, bestselling book "Economics of Good and Evil” published in 2011 by Oxford University Press which was translated into 17 languages and received the prestigious German “Wirtschaftsbuchpreis” at Frankfurt Book Fair for its original philosophical contribution to economics. 
He became a member of the National Economics Council, advisory body to the Czech Prime Minister and was listed among the top 100 most influential global thinkers. Sedlacek became, at the age of 24, an economic advisor of Czech president Václav Havel. During his fellowship at Yale University, Yale Economic Review ranked him among five hot young minds in economics. He currently works as a chief macroeconomic strategist at Czech Commercial Bank (CSOB), is a member of Program Council for New Economic Thinking of World Economic Forum that meets in Davos, lecturer of Charles University and sits on boards of many non-profit organizations.

 
Rucsandra HUREZEANU
Founder & CEO, Ivatherm
 
Rucsandra Hurezeanu comes from a family of doctors and pharmacists. She studies medicine in Bucharest, holds an MBA in Paris at the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris ESCP, has an EMBA at ASEBUS and a PhD in Infectious Diseases. After 7 years in the pharmaceutical industry with multiple marketing and sales experience, in 2005, she founded Ivatherm, the first dermato-cosmetic company in Romania. Rucsandra Hurezeanu has earned numerous awards in the past years, including the Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Annual Investments Award in 2011, Enterprise Investors, BCR and ZF Champion in Business Award, 2012, Award for Innovation in Business, Forbes Magazine, 2013, Romanian Brand Award, Inspiring Woman of the Year, 2016, offered by the Woman Association.
She is writing opinions in Unica magazine, she has been permanently invited to the 2010 TV show "Arena Leilor" on TVR 2. Since 2015 she holds the position of President of the Romanian Cosmetics Industry Association and board member of the Family Business Network Romania

Alexandru MANDA
Co-fondator, Atelierele Pegas
 
Alexandru MANDA is the co-founder of Pegas, the company that brought the most beloved Romanian bicycle back to the market after a break of several decades. The story of the Pegas bicycle has begun in a garage, out of a great passion for bicycles. Now, six years after the launch of the bike, the company has a portfolio of 30 bikes coming in 150 models. Moreover, the Pegas bicycles are developed and designed in line with international standards, the team being present at the most of the world's specialized fairs. Since 2017, Pegas develops in-house, a dockless bike sharing system to solve the problem of urban mobility. 

 
Tiberiu MOISA

Tiberiu Moisa is a banker with consistent history in being engaged in projects that have the potential to change social or economic communities. For him, the capitalism needs social consciousness and it is therefore natural for banking to be about people and communities. In this case, he launched: BTMic, a start-up which offers loans for SME’s; BTClub Foundation which offers support and entrepreneurial and management education; UBB Association – Executive Education (UBBee) – manages the EMBA program delivered to Cluj by Hull University (UK).

 
Dr. Eugen BANCIU
Chairman, Dona Pharmacies
 
Dr. Eugen Banciu is the main shareholder of the DONA Group, and since February 2016 he also holds the position of Chairman of the Group. Having graduated  in 1994 from  the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi,  Dr. Banciu founded in 1996 the drug distribution company, Farmexpert. In 2006 he gave away 60% of the shares to ANZAG Germany (currently a member of the Walgreens Group, the world leader in the pharmaceutical and beauty industry), the last package being sold in October 2013. Up until March 2012, Dr. Banciu led Farmexpert from the position of General Manager, and brought the company to reach a turnover of over 430 million  Euros and obtain the leading position of profitability in its market. As a major shareholder of the DONA Group with annual turnovers reaching over  230 million Euros in the retail and wholesale pharmaceutical industries, Dr. Eugen Banciu once again revealed his vision, contributing to a premiere on the local pharmaceutical market . In 2016, DONA Pharmacies announced a strategic change by inviting the Romanian entrepreneurs in the pharmaceutical industry, to join the Dona pharmacy network under the rules of a franchise system. DONA pharmacy is one of the most popular names in the pharmaceutical retail in Romania, with a solid reputation built in the 25 years of activity.

 
Claudiu PANDARU

Claudiu Pandaru, the founder of Republica, has more than 17 years of experience in the field of television, radio, along with printed and online press. He was the editorial director of Mediafax Group, creator of the television show ”Dupa 20 de ani” (After 20years) on Pro TV,  editor-in-chief at  ”Gandul” newspaper, head of Pro TV's internal policy department and journalist at Radio France International Bucharest. Currently, he is a Digi24 journalist.

Olympic Vice-Champion at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Olympic Champion at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro
 
Three times best épée fencer in the world according to the International Fencing Federation (2008, 2009, 2013), Ana Maria started in the sports at 12 and she has always wanted to be a champion. Her work and talent was recognized by dozens of medals in multiple world competitions. She won her first gold medal in the 2001 World Cadet Championship. She was also Gold Medalist Olympic Champion in the 2016 edition of Rio de Janeiro, Silver Medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, twice World Champion with her team and seven-times European Champion.
Ana Maria Branza is also involved in different campaigns meant to encourage sports among young persons. She suports The Association for Therapeutic Intervention in Autism and she lauched the Run for your Birthday campaign.
